You Made It Monday

Good morning and welcome to the very first You Made It Monday!  We love to see the amazing things you create with Lil’ Inker Designs products and as we explore blogs, Instagram, Pinterest, Facebook, etc, we see more and more amazing projects created by you.  We were so inspired, we wanted to show off what you guys are making.  This led us to start our new You Made It Monday feature where we will show off some of the projects we couldn’t help but notice while we were hanging out around the internet each week.  We hope you’ll enjoy this feature and hope it will inspire you to keep creating and sharing your Lil’ Inker Designs projects.  Here’s just a few projects we’ve had our eye on this week:

This gorgeous creation comes to us from Wanda Cullen.  Wanda used Stitched Mats:  Long & Skinny Rectangles to make some super fun color blocks and a perfect spot for her sentiment which she created using the Awesome Word Die   My favorite part of this card is her amazing use of the Sketched Floral Stamps and Sketched Floral Die Set.  Her coloring really highlights the detail of this stamp set.  Gorgeous work, Wanda!

Next Up, is this perfectly clean and simple card from Lori Tecler:

Lori made the Teacher Word Die and Apple Pieces Die Set the star of this card.  The colors she chose make this card super eye catching and I just love the strips of color grounding her card.  She used a couple words from the Teacher Talk Stamp Set to finish off her sentiment perfectly and make this a card that would turn any student into the teacher’s pet.  A+, Lori!

Finally, is a card set I stumbled upon while scrolling through Instagram.  It comes from Claire who you can follow on Instagram at @clairelrich.

Claire made the amazing Oh Deer Christmas Stamp Set the focal point of these cards.  Her layering and combo of patterns is just wonderful.  The coloring makes the deer just pop and I especially like how Oh Deer looks colored on kraft card stock.  Someone is going to be very happy to have these arrive in their mailbox this holiday season.  Terrific creations, Claire!

We hope you enjoyed this small glimpse of the amazing creations you guys are sharing using Lil’ Inker Designs products.  I can’t wait to see what else I discover in the weeks to come.  We’d love to have you share your creations with us by:

Keep blogging and add a Lil’ Inker Designs label to your posts.
Pin your projects to Pinterest with Lil’ Inker Designs in the description

We want to find your projects and these are some of the ways you can help us do that.

You never know, you might find yourself the subject of the next You Made It Monday!  Have a great week and as always, happy crafting!

Sharing Kindness & Caring Hearts Card Drive

Hi there, Lil' Inker Friends! I'm here today to share some kindness!

A couple of weeks ago, Jennifer McGuire launched her beautiful new website so of course I headed over to check it out and I was truly truly touched by Jennifer's intro video and the message she shared about what she does and the potential impact a handmade card can make. Trust me when I tell you that this was such an appropriately timed message for me and a great reminder about the hobby I love and my love of all things handmade and the smiles they can bring to so many.

A few days ago, I was beyond thrilled, excited and shocked when I opened my mailbox and saw this gorgeous box of Share Handmade Kindness goodies from Jennifer.

I'm so inspired by Jennifer's message and I'd like to share some kindness with you!

Today, November 19th 2015, when you place an order at Lil' Inker Designs, we'll add a Send Pretty Mail Stamp Set to your order. You deserve it! And just in case we run out, we promise to send you something just as cute! There isn't a code so just go ahead and order the goodies you've been eyeing and you'll receive this set just for being you!! :)

After receiving Jennifer's Kindness Box, I knew instantly I wanted to share it with you! I'm giving away this gorgeous set of hand foiled note cards each with a message of kindness. To them, I've added in 7 of our premium envelopes which I've lined using our Stitched Envelope Liner Die and Dip Dyed Ombré Papers. Inside are also a set of Snail Mail Stickers from the goodie box and everything is wrapped up and topped off with a little tag I made.

Would you like to win this little giftie? All you have to do is leave me a comment on this post and mention how you're sharing kindness. I'll pick one lucky winner to receive this pretty note set. Comments should be left by 11/22/2015 at 11:30 PM EST and I'll announce a winner shortly thereafter.

Speaking of kindness, the Caring Hearts Card Drive is going on now and it is one of the most fabulous ways to share kindness that I can think of. Vera Yates is the kindhearted mastermind behind this wonderful cause. She is collecting hand made cards and distributing them to nursing homes throughout the US, Canada and Australia. Isn't that Amazing?? I can't think of a better way to spread cheer to so many.
Please CLICK HERE to head over to Vera's blog to read about how you can contribute your handmade cards and put a smiles on so many faces this holiday season.

Thank you all for joining me today. I hope that I've encouraged you to share some kindness as well.

Let's have a look at the project I made for today's challenge.

I'm in the mood to make Christmas cards! Anyone else? I just love the the items we released back in October for the holidays and I just couldn't resist using them today.

I started with our Oh My Ornament Dies and cut an ornament from striped, pattern paper. I then used my Stitched Stars Dies and cut a pink star which I layered over my ornament. The Merry word die cut is cut from our Merry & Bright Holiday Greeting Die. I liked showing that this word could be snipped away and used for a totally different project.

After assembling my ornament and adding the pink twine I started putting together my card base which I did by incorporating this little swoosh in the bottom, right corner which I think made for an interesting layout. This was super easy to make thanks to our easy to use dies.

I hope you like it!!

Thank you so much for stopping by today. I cannot wait to see the projects you make for our challenge and I look forward to visiting your blogs!

Stay tuned because we're currently working behind the scenes getting ready for our next release which will take place on December 9th but a little thing called Black Friday will take place before that so be on the lookout for that which will be here before we know it!!!

Have a wonderful day. Have fun creating for our challenge and enjoy the projects our team made to light your crafty fire!!!
